- 抗战爆发后，内迁到重庆的广大艺术院校师生和美术工作者创作了大量抗战主题宣传画，主要包括简易直白的木刻版画、幽默机智的漫画，这些作品以选题的战时性、艺术语言的战斗性和作品刊发传播的战地性展现出直观夸张的表现力、生动通俗的叙事性和对妇女儿童等全民抗战的感召力，成为揭示日军暴行、鼓舞民众团结抗战、激励将士奋勇杀敌的思想武器。通过战时重庆宣传画研究可直观地感受到战时的美术工作者等艺术界人士强烈的爱国热情与深厚的民族大义，及其执着的艺术精神。
